Project Description
Our group will be determining the best algorithm for gate decomposition in the Google repository, Cirq. Our main goal is to decompose 3-qubit gates into 2-qubit and 1-qutbit gates. The reason we want to decompose these gates is so that the system can support larger circuits and ultimately run more efficiently. Our group will be researching quantum computing, gate decomposition algorithms, and optimization in order to determine what the best design will be for this project. We will be using python to create our algorithm.
